I am a transducer designer at ITT in SLC, Ut. I have used TRN which runs within the HTBasic environment to design Tonpilz transducers in the past. Usually as a check for my models generated in either ATILA-GID or ANSYS FEA. I recently tried to load and run the most recent version of TRN I have TRN941 and I get the error; ERROR 2 in 1346 Memory Overflow. I have not run TRN since switching over to a different computer which I suspect is the problem. The dialogue window which appears upon attempting to run TRN941 with this new system indictaes the system is 586,2,0 when I look at old output for prior TRN runs the system is 586,1,0. I was not involved in setting up TRN/HTBasic to run on my old system so I am not sure what settings/sytem file inputs were required to execute the program. Since you are the developer listed on the version of TRN I have could you help me resolve this problem. Also are there more recent versions of TRN available and how do I get on a list to be notified whenm newer versions are released? Since the release date for TRN941 is 2004 is it possible there is a newer version written with a newer programming language and for a newer operating system?

Hi, Kevin.

My name is Andrew Odewahn, and we met a while ago at O’Reilly Media. I’ve recently rejoined the company to do business development for Laura Baldwin. We’re working on a project with a large enterprise software company, and I was wondering what you’re availability might look like as a potential community manager or related role? If you have a few minutes, please drop me a line at 617-460-6693 and I can give you more detail.

Greetings Kevin,

I found by chance when I did a google search on Dual boot with XP and Linux your instructions for creating the dual boot with Ubuntu. Would your instructions work with any other Linux OS like debian or centos?

I dont know alot about Linux systems and am studying them and want to have the dual boot option on my laptop and then I may also do on my desktop.
